All sales are subject to our standard terms and conditions, available here. By placing an order with us you agree to be bound by these. (Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.)
IMPORTANT: Summer deliveries
Please note that during August our deliveries are taking slightly longer than usual, due to summer holidays. We aim to dispatch products within a week of ordering, which means that they will typically reach you in approximately ten days.
How to Buy
Using the buttons provided on the category pages and the individual product pages, place the item(s) you want in your shopping basket. You can change quantities in your shopping basket later; simply edit the quantity and click on 'recalculate'. You can also remove items the same way, by changing the quantity to 0 and recalculating.
From the shopping basket you can return to this website by clicking the 'continue shopping' button.
You can view your basket contents at any time by clicking on the 'View Basket'' link available on top of each page throughout the website.
When you are ready to check out, proceed to payment. If you have placed items to your basket since you last viewed it, it may not have automatically updated itself (depends on your browser settings); to be sure that you are checking out what you want to, you can 'recalculate' the basket before proceeding to pay.
How to Pay
Online Using PayPal
Our shopping basket facility links directly to the PayPal payment system.
PayPal is a leading online payment processor which accepts all major debit and credit cards as well as bank transfers, and has the added benefit of allowing you pay from your existing PayPal account if you have one (millions of people do, after all). PayPal has sophisticated security and buyer protection policies in place.
Using PayPal does not cost you anything extra. All handling fees are charged to us, like they are with all card payment gateways.
If you don't have a PayPal account, you can simply enter your payment card details as you would on any online payment facility. This does not require you to have or set up a PayPal account. At the end of the process you will be asked whether you would like to set up a PayPal account, but this is purely optional and only for your future convenience.
NB: If you have an existing PayPal account but wish to pay by entering your card details again (rather than using the existing account), please do NOT log into PayPal as this will inevitably use your existing account. Instead, when you are presented with the PayPal log-in page, choose the option "Use your credit card or bank account" which is shown on the opposite side of the same log-in page, above the credit card symbols.
During the payment process you will be redirected from our shopping basket facility which is hosted at an external domain (aitsafe.com) to PayPal (paypal.com/.co.uk). You may notice PayPal telling you that your payment is being sent to info@miniline.co.uk; this is as intended: the MiniLineLights website is owned and operated by MiniLine Ltd (see the bottom of this page).
After you have completed payment, PayPal will transfer you after a short delay back to this site, or you may continue to your next destination if you are finished shopping with us.
Offline Using Postal Order Form
If you prefer to pay by cheque, postal order or banker's draft, or would like to send your card details by post rather than use our online payment facility, you can do so using our postal order form and sending it to us together with your payment.

Order Acknowledgement
You will receive an automated e-mail titled 'Your MiniLineLights order' shortly (typically within 10 minutes) after you have paid online. This lists details of your order and payment, including a unique Order ID number (shown on line 6, just under the order date/time) which you should quote in any subsequent correspondence with us.
Please note that this acknowledgement is not a formal order confirmation, as it is possible that your chosen item(s) may be out of stock. (We update our stock situation constantly, but sometimes it may happen that the item has only recently been sold out.) If any of the items in your order are unavailable we will inform you as soon as possible and in any case within two working days.
We will send you an order confirmation and dispatch notice when your order is being despatched.
If you are paying from your existing PayPal account, please note that PayPal sends you a separate e-mail receipt to the e-mail address which you have registered with PayPal for your account purposes. If this is different from the e-mail address which you tell us in the shopping cart, you will receive e-mails to both addresses, some from us and some from PayPal. Please check both addresses.
In the event that you don't receive your acknowledgement and/or receipt straight away, please check your spam/junk mail folder, as some e-mail service providers may have accidentally placed it there.
Prices
All the prices on this website are our consumer/retail prices in Pounds Sterling, inclusive of VAT at 17.5% (standard rate from 01/01/10).
Prices are valid for retail sales within the UK only, and subject to change without notice.
Delivery
Our delivery charges are £3.95 or £5.95 to UK mainland destinations (depending on the number and size/weight of the items), and £3.95 to £7.95 to UK outlying areas (Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man). Before check-out you are asked to choose the shipping destination that best matches your location; if you select 'mainland' for outlying areas, we reserve the right to request the payment of the additional delivery charge.
The delivery charge is per shipment. In other words, you will pay at most £5.95 for mainland and £7.95 for outlying areas, irrespective of how many items you order (does not apply to large bulk shipments or trade orders). The exact cost of shipping is calculated in the shopping cart when you proceed to checkout and before you confirm payment.
Delivery is (by our choice of) Royal Mail or courier, depending on the size/weight of the items and the destination.
If you have particular requirements such as express delivery, please contact us prior to placing your order.
We can only deliver to standard UK residential or business addresses, not to PO Boxes, BFPO addresses, etc.
Please note that we are unable to deliver to overseas destinations.
As soon as we receive confirmation of your purchase and payment, we will
start packing your order. We normally aim to dispatch within 2-3
working days, but please allow a week for dispatch. We normally
deliver on next-day service, but please allow 2-3 days for delivery. This
means that most orders are delivered within a week of ordering, but please
allow up to 28 days.
Returns & Refunds
In line with current distance selling regulations, should you wish to return an unwanted item, you can do so within 14 days of receipt. To allow for delivery times in both directions, this means that the returned item must reach us at the latest within one month of the purchase date.
You are responsible for the cost of returning the item, and must obtain proof of postage (as otherwise there is no way of making sure that the item has been sent back, should it get lost in transit or otherwise fail to arrive). Assuming that we receive the item back in satisfactory unused condition in the original packaging, we will refund your purchase in full, including original delivery costs from us to you.
If there is anything wrong with your order or any of the items are faulty (as opposed to you merely not wanting them), you can return the whole or partial order to us for full refund or replacement.
If you wish to return anything to us for whatever reason, please contact us first so that we can explain the procedure and discuss any refund/replacement options available to you. We are always happy to help with any questions or queries, and will do our best to resolve matters to your full satisfaction.
Please note that any refund of your online payment is processed by PayPal, and will be returned to your PayPal account or the card you used to pay. We will issue your refund promptly, but cannot be held responsible for any delays after PayPal has started the refund process.
NB: If the e-mail address you entered in your shopping cart is different from the e-mail address you have registered with PayPal, please note that your order confirmation is sent to the shopping cart address, but any refund messages are sent to the PayPal address - please make sure to check both addresses!
Nothing in our return policy is intended to affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
REGARDING OPENED PACKAGING (WHERE APPLICABLE):
We do not sell used or refurbished
products; all our lights are brand new, 'A' grade stock (unless very clearly
indicated, under special circumstances only). We do, however, open
some product packaging prior to shipping, to place extra padding inside the
box to protect the product during transit. This is done so as to
ensure that the product reaches you intact. Also, UK plugs are fitted
on some products such as string lights and some bedside lamps, and for this
reason the original packaging has been opened and re-sealed. Again, we
want to emphasise that the product remains brand new and unused.
Your Details
It is important that your delivery address is complete and correct, so please check it before completing payment. Please make sure to enter your full postcode accurately.
We update our stock situation regularly, but sometimes it may happen that the item has just been sold out. In the unlikely event that this happens we will inform you within two working days. It is therefore very important that you tell us your e-mail address and daytime phone number, so that we (or our courier) may contact you to discuss any issues arising from your order.
Rest assured we will never hassle you with sales calls or otherwise contact you unnecessarily, nor do we release your contact details to anyone else (except for our courier, purely for delivery purposes) - that's a promise!
